Colorado Center for Jung and Nature Studies

Join us!

The Colorado Center for Jung and Nature Studies is a 501(c)(3) organization and was founded by Shannon Yockey to offer an open and inclusive setting dedicated to the education, advancement, and promotion of Jungian and Nature studies. This initiative is founded on the theoretical contributions of Carl Gustav Jung, integrating essential perspectives from depth psychology and eco-psychology to underscore their interrelation.

The Center's main goal is to inspire a deep, soulful bond between the psyche and the natural world.

We typically meet at the beautiful Primrose Studio located in Fort Collins, Colorado.

The Approach

Rewilding Psyche

The Approach

Rewilding is an approach to conservation that enables and supports nature to self-care, which allows its native creatures to cultivate and heal their own diverse habitats and landscapes. Rewilding restores barren and desolate landscapes lost due to the effects of climate change and habitat destruction.

The Seminar

Rewilding Psyche

The Approach

The Rewilding Psyche Seminar invites us into a similar process as we grapple with the effects of modern society’s emphasis on rationality, productivity, and conformity, which often leads to a disconnect from our instincts, emotions, and deeper desires. This disconnection can result in feelings of emptiness and alienation.

Rewilding Psyche

Rewilding Psyche involves reconnecting with these forgotten aspects of the self to achieve deeper authenticity, fulfillment, and wholeness. This can happen when we reconnect with nature, explore creative expression, and confront our shadow aspects—the unconscious aspects.
